Bourkevale Community Centre: Yoga resumes Sept. 18

Bourkevale's yoga program resumes on September 18. It will run Tuesdays in the main hall.

When: Tuesdays 7:00-8:00 pm

Where: Main hall at the club, 100 Ferry Rd.

Cost: $5 drop-in fee

Annual General Meeting

Bourkevale held its AGM on April 19 at 7 pm in the main hall. Bourkevale's board of directors provided the community with a review of activities over the past year and an update on plans for 2018. All board members agreed to let their names stand for re-election. Bourkevale elected a new president, Dan Reles, who has been president of the club in the past and is a longstanding board member. Bourkevale wishes to thank outgoing president Elaine Nystrom for her outstanding service. Elaine is staying on as program coordinator.

How do I get involved with Bourkevale Community Centre?

That's a great question. Your connection with Bourkevale CC can be anywhere from volunteering for a single event to getting more involved at the board level. But don't let the "board" level scare you away.

Our board is comprised of friendly, community-minded people who want the best for our kids and families. We volunteer our time to ensure Bourkevale survives as a community centre and to maintain the important services it provides. Mostly, though, we have a lot of fun.
