Bourkevale Community Centre operates its recreational soccer program under St. Charles Soccer Association. Click here for the link to the SCCA. Bourkevale hosts both mini soccer teams, ages 5/6 and 7/8 as well as recreational teams for players into their late teens. The club maintains fields for mini soccer and for players aged 9 and 10. For more information about our soccer program, please contact Natasha at nstconway@shaw.ca.

The U5, U6 will be grouped as U5/6.  Cost = $50.

Night of play: Tuesday* (development skills, scrimmage/inter squad game), Thursday* All games will be played at Bourkevale.

The U7, U8 will be grouped as U7/8.   Cost  =  $50.
Night of play: Monday* (developmental skills, scrimmage/inter squad game), Wednesday* All games will be played at Bourkevale.

Each age group (U5/6 and U7/8) must have approximately 8-10 players per team and commit to make it a fun and productive season.  It is difficult to run drills and games with limited players.

Plus each team must have parent volunteers to step up to coach and assistant coach.  One coach is responsible to watch the field players and the other coach is on the sideline to run the substitute(s) and compliment the kid’s ability after plays.  There are paid coaching clinics in early March that provide basic skill set and an online course ‘Respect in sports’.

Each player’s parent(s)/guardians also have to be involved to assist with skills and development for practices regardless of soccer experience, this is essential for player development (passing and dribbling plays).  (It is also fun to connect and build reinforcement with your children on the field and at home).

All players U9 & up must register as well on the MSA website.
